Description

Nitrogen - N

This is a new series or collection that I am starting called "Element". This element is Nitrogen and its element abbreviation is N. In french, Nitrogen is called "Azote", named by famous chemist Antoine Lavoisier. Azote is from the greek "azoein" meaning lifeless. Nitrogen is a lifeless gas meaning that it does not support life, yet 78% of the atmosphere (by volume) is Nitrogen.

This specific representation of nitrogen is tube of nitrogen gas blasted by high energy electrons (sometimes from badass science flashlight called an electron gun!). Here, it is probably being shocked by electricity! ~wow!. Nitrogen is usually transparent as it absorbs ALL wavelengths of visible light (meaning none is left to be reflected out and into our eyes, so we can't see it!). In this case, the light reflected is Ultraviolet light (very high energy light)!

Sheesh! Isn't Science cool or what!!?!

Enjoy the series! If you have any requests, don't be shy to let me know in the comments. I plan on making the most recognizable/easiest first!

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
