grokfaster is a chrome extension designed to help you read the content of pages and articles a lot faster. This speed-reading technique has been known for a while and is now gaining popularity. Even if you've never used it before you might fine you can read at 500+ WPM
Please keep in mind this is an EARLY BETA, and I would love feedback. If there's any problems, chances are in the coming days it will be addressed, if not, let me know! Thanks!
Current Features (v 0.1.2):
- Right click menu to read highlighted text
- Space bar for pause
- Escape or click background to stop reading
- Option for WPM (words per minute)
- Option for focal point
- Option to show previous and next words
- Options for delay after sentence and other items (comma etc)
- Option to dim the background
Coming features:
- Customize everything (color, font, size)
- Read pasted text
- Read other items
- Scan back words when paused (for better comprehension)
Overall I want this to be a very usable, good looking and stable app.
It's still early, and each minor revision has improved it greatly.
