Description

This extension enables aggregation of server-side logs to a new "Server Log" panel in Devtools.

The header-format of the Chrome Logger extension (by Craig Campbell) is supported for backwards compatibility - this extension will work as a drop-in replacement for Chrome Logger, but improves the experience by clearly indicating the source of log-entries (from multiple async requests) and by separating the server-side from the client-side log (in the "Console" panel) into a dedicated "Server Log" panel.

Existing server-side libraries can progressively move from the X-ChromeLogger-Data header format to the new X-ServerLog-Location header, which avoids buffer overrun issues in Chrome, NGINX, Apache and probably others.

New server-side libraries can use plain HTML for diagnostic logs, which provides developers with complete freedom to format and present log-data in any way you wish.

If you fork or update an existing server-side library (or create your own!) please open an issue, and we'll list your library!

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
