Welcome back to the infinite hangout.
Google seem to serve hangouts from multiple URLs these days, which sadly rendered the original extension (authored by Christian Bundy) ineffective.
As the original author seems to have ceased development, I've brought it up to speed myself (if you have any issue with this, please do let me know Mr Bundy).
Assuming Google don't continue changing the URLs I don't anticipate a frequent update cycle. I do, however, use this extension myself, so if new features are required I will likely add them when I find time.
