This extension overwrites the default "New Tab" page with a tidy page that displays a masterpiece ranging from Van Gogh and Monet, all the way to contemporary works from street artists around the world.
Notes:
1. This extension uses the Google Arts & Culture database for displaying these artworks. Each artwork has a clickable title and creator links.
2. To increasing the responsiveness, the extension stores up to 5 artworks in the browser cache storage.
3. All new artworks are being fetched from the Google Arts & Culture website.
4. Each artwork is displayed for 24 hours and then will be replaced with a new one. If you happen not to like one, use the refresh button to get a new random artwork!

Google Arts & Culture features content from over 2000 leading museums and archives who have partnered with the Google Cultural Institute to bring the world's treasures online. It utilizes high-resolution image technology that enables the viewer to tour partner organization collections and galleries and explore the artworks' physical and contextual information. The platform includes advanced search capabilities and educational tools.
