Cloudwise COOL

Description

The COOL extension provides the utility for teachers to provide more attention to certain students while said students are working on their chromebooks. This functionality is provided to the teacher from the COOL portal by giving the teacher a view on what the student is doing on their chromebook. This way the teacher can provide assistance to certain students who are in need of more help.

A teacher can only monitor students during school hours, these hours can be configured on the COOL portal. Furthermore, the student can only be monitored when he/she is physically present in the school and on the schools IP address.

With the extension installed on the students chromebook, the teacher can:

- Blocking tabs in Chrome so they are not usable. This can be done from the COOL portal
- Send a url to the student, this url gets opened automatically on the chromebook
- Send a message to the student, this message is shown on the chromebook screen
- Exam mode, this mode gives the student access to only a couple of tabs configured by the teacher

This extension is only usable in combination with the Cloudwise COOL portal.
The email address is used as identification of the student and therefore exchanged with the teacher that is linked to the session.
