Thanks for playing Chanukah Mahjong! Chanukah Mahjong integrates the Jewish holiday Chanukah with the Chinese tile game Mahjong. Chanukah, or Hanukkah, is the Jewish Festival of lights and is celebrated on the 25th day of the Jewish month of Kislev. Chanukah is celebrated for 8 nights by lighting an additional candle on the menorah each night. In Chanukah Mahjong, the traditional Chinese characters have been replaced with traditional jewish symbols including Dreidels, Menorahs, Chanukah Gelt, Potato Latkes, Sufganiyot and other traditional Jewish Symbols are present on the Mahjong tiles.
Mahjong is an ancient tile game originating in China. Mahjong is traditionally played with four people, however this is a solitaire verstion of Mahjong and is played by one person. The goal of the game is to clear all of the tiles by clicking on two tiles with the same image. In addition to the traditional layout below, we also offer the following alternative layouts: Infinity, Diamond Mine, Chinese Fan and Pyramid.
