Description

Shangri-La proudly presents the first artwork in its Horizon Club Artist Series.

This first artwork is called 'The Fragrant Harbour' by Hong Kong based artist Desmond Leung.

At the Horizon Club guests enjoy an unparalleled level of hospitality and service, so to give you a small taste of our personal service, we have commissioned artists from five of our destinations to create a series of artworks inspired by the Horizon Club, with which you can personalise your digital devices.

This artwork was inspired by the view from the Horizon Club at Island Shangri-La in Hong Kong, and captures the magic hour just before sunset. The artist himself states:

"I tried to capture the moment of the magic hour of the harbour before sunset, when the glitter of the sea, the movement of the ferries, the skyscrapers, the streets and people, the mountains and the orange blue sky all melt together and shimmer in the golden sunlight. It’s like a symphony of colour, movement and rhythm, which all together create a warm, calm and tranquil energy that resonates at the heart of people.”

By installing this artwork on your browser you will be able to experience for yourself the inspiration of the artist and beauty of this amazing city.

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
