Description

After you have added Lenz to Chrome, just visit any web page and click the Lenz button on your browser toolbar. Choose a lens shape and the lens will follow your mouse movements. After that, click the Lenz button to bring up the control panel where you can change the size and power of the lens. You can also choose to let the lens bounce around your browser if you aren't moving the mouse.

FAQ:

Q: Why does the Lenz extension ask if it can "Access your data for all websites"?
A: In order to make the lens effect, the extension takes a screenshot of the current webpage and modifies the area the lens is over. Taking the screenshot triggers that warning from the Chrome system. I do not store or transmit any data at all from your web browser.

Q: How do I turn it off?
A: To turn off the magnification effect, click the same icon that is currently active (either the hemisphere or the semicylinder).

Q: Why does the lens disappear when it goes over certain parts of the web page?
A: Lenz cannot receive mouse movement notifications when the mouse is over an embedded "iframe" tag in the web page. These tags are sometimes used for advertisements or embedded videos. Since the lens would just seem to be stuck, I decided to just hide it until the mouse moves back to the main part of the page.

Q: What determines the location where the lens displays when its controls are being changed?
A: It goes to the last place you clicked.

Privacy Policy:
When activated, Lenz takes a screenshot of the current web page and then modifies the screenshot to make the lens effect appear. The contents of the screenshot are not stored, transmitted, or analyzed for data. No information is collected -- the pixels of the screenshot are only transformed to make the visual effect.

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
