Don't you think that the Twitter website lacks a "Quote" button ? Well, I do.
This is why I decided to create this very simple Google Chrome extension that adds a "Quote" button to the "More" menu for each tweet on the page.
When you click on it, it opens the "New Tweet" dialog box with the following content :
"RT @<author>: <content>"
You are then free to remove some parts or add your own comment at the beginning, just like the plain old "Quote Retweet".
