Report cards and transcripts
ThinkWave Administrator is web-based school admin software that collects grades and comments from teachers online. Online collection of grades and comments makes it easy to produce consolidated student report cards and school transcripts. Data from multiple teachers is automatically combined to generate a full report card for every student. Report cards can be customized with a school logo, address and custom text. Report cards can be emailed automatically to students and parents, thereby saving printing costs. Report cards can include custom fields such as citizenship, awards, or any data type your school requires. Classes can have multiple final grades. For example, an elementary Math class can have an overall grade and additional marks for "Spatial Thinking" and "Problem Solving". Transcripts contain results from all the years a students has been enrolled. A roll-backward function lets schools record previous years' historical data to produce complete graduate transcript reports.

Manage grades for your school
Final grades are instantly available to administrators, students and parents. Teachers and administrators can assign grade overrides and write comments as long as 5,000 characters. GPA and Credits are automatically calculated. Subterm (quarter) grades can be combined into Term (semester) grades. Administrators can define multiple final grade scales to use with different courses. Elementary classes can use an elementary scale, high school classes can use a standard letter scale, and other classes can be graded with a percent score.

Manage attendance for your school
Attendance marks and comments are instantly shared between administrators and teachers. The administrator can verify and change attendance marks if necessary. Attendance types can be customized and can be recorded on a daily or period-by-period basis. Flexible scheduling handles standard schedules, cyclical (A/B) scheduling, and weekly (M,T,W,Th,F) schedules. Average daily attendance (ADA) and average daily membership (ADM) values can be calculated according to: a) the number of periods, b) percent of periods, or c) minutes a student is present (or absent) in the day.

Upload assignments and handouts online
Go green! Save on paper and toner cartidges. ThinkWave includes the ability to upload homework and handouts online. Uploaded files can be up to 25MB each. 100 GB online storage included, with more available if needed. Most file formats are supported, for example: .pdf, .doc, picture files, movie files and others. Homework is available for students and parents to download online. The upload function can also be used to organize your handouts in one place. No need to email files between home and school - handouts and lesson plans are available online from any computer.

Collect homework from students online
ThinkWave offers the powerful ability to collect homework from students online. Students upload their homework files with an easy-to-use upload function. Files are immediately available to the teacher in the gradebook. Uploaded files are organized for the teacher by assignment and date.

Web-based gradebook for all teachers
ThinkWave school administrative software includes a web-based gradebook for teachers. Gradebooks can be accessed from home or school without installing software. Student names and courses are automatically populated into the gradebook. Teachers can use an all-points grading system or flexible grading options that can combine points, letter grades, pass, check, and any other custom grading scale. Teachers can create their own assignment types and use assignment type weighting, for example making Tests 30%, Homework 40%, Projects 15% and Participation 15%. Scores are instantly calculated when marks are recorded. If a class is re-assigned from one teacher to another, an automatic function allows the gradebook, including all assignments and attendance, to be transferred to the new teacher. Assignments and handouts can be copied from previous terms automatically, thereby saving setup time for classes taught every year.

Grades online for students and parents
ThinkWave school management system improves communication with students and families with a parent internet viewer. Individual password-protected accounts let students and parents view classroom information. Detailed, day-to-day summary of student progress includes overall results, graded assignments and upcoming assignments. Usage of Grades Online correlates with improved student achievement by improving organization and allowing for early intervention. ThinkWave displays information automatically, without any additional action by teachers or administrators.

School and classroom blog
ThinkWave includes blogging capability for both administrators and teachers. Blog posts and announcements can be directed to all students and parents, particular groups of students or specific classes. Files can be uploaded with blog posts.
