Description

[Summary]
Google Meet provides great conferencing and live streaming capabilities for large audiences. However, when applied to corporate networks, congestion issues might arise if too many employees consume a corporate live stream from within the local network. To solve this type of problem, an eCDN (Enterprise Content Delivery Network) solution is used. StriveCast is one of the leading providers in that space. This extension allows to use StriveCast eCDN solution with Google Meet Live Streaming to serve tens of thousands of employees without congesting the corporate network.

[Read before installation]
Please note, this extension works only tandem with an account at https://strivecast.com. After requesting an account, your account manager will contact you with the details about how to configure the extension so that it is linked to your account. The extension CANNOT be used without a StriveCast account and will simply do nothing.

[Config]
Please note that this extension can also only be configured using a policy (group policy etc.) and not through an UI. This is on purpose, because this extension is expected to be used in corporate setups to automatically support Google Meet Live Streaming without users interaction. Corporate network administrators are typically the right people to install and manage this roll-out of this extension. You can see the results within the customer portal and evaluate your corporate network in terms of performance.

What has inspired us?

Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
