The main character of the game is the plumber Mario. The goal of the game is to go through the Mushroom Kingdom, destroying the soldiers of the tortoise King to save the Princess. Mario attacks the opponents, jumping on top of them. This method kills mushrooms and temporarily neutralizes turtles, forcing them to hide in a shell. "Frightened" turtles will be an excellent weapon against other enemies. If you push the shell in front of you, it will sweep everything in its path after acceleration. However, if the shell encounters an obstacle, it will change direction and can hit Mario himself. You can not jump on enemies like porcupines because it damages Mario. Porcupines will be killed by a shot from a fireball. The same applies to carnivorous plants that regularly appear from pipes sticking out in the ground. Some of these pipes are a passage to the bonus level, a dungeon in which an incredible number of coins are hidden, and another dungeon helps to get the path to exit from the level. Also there are shoots, according to which Mario rises to the cloud, bonus level, there is a large number of coins and there are no enemies.
