1/14/2016 - Made a couple quick fixes. Fixed two little bugs introduced when RES updated their Chrome Extension. Made the thumbnails in list view larger. Added a bit more logic to the styling for self posts in grid view, so they only take up as much vertical space / height as they need to.
1/6/2016 - You can now choose how much horizontal space images, video, and comments take up when viewing content in the grid and list views!
11/22/2015 - Added the ability to close the comment / inline media you're viewing and go back to the original content you were looking at. We also had to do a lot of behind the scenes updates that our payment processor required.
Previous Updates:
Well we've been hard at work prepping SHINE for an official launch. In fact, we've actually rebuilt the entire extension from the ground up, due to advances in browser technology since we first started this project a couple years ago.
A couple of the updates include switching from a javascript grid framework to CSS3 flexbox for the grid view. This greatly reduces the stress on your browser and also makes the cards easier on the eyes.
The list view design has been updated to include more room for the content and the ability to view the content side by side with its comments. We've also adopted a more material design look for SHINE.
This combined with many other improvements are part of SHINE v1.0 that will be launching later today or tomorrow.
One other important change we're making is to the SHINE BRIGHT version. We've decided to move away from a subscription based model to a one time payment of $1.99. Also, if you choose to stick with a SHINE LIGHT version of SHINE, we've decided to not block some of the content, instead we've made additional features like settings and customization part of the SHINE BRIGHT version.
We hope you approve of the decisions we've made and that you continue to support SHINE by sharing it with others!
Extore is a team of professionals who are passionate about creating extensions for web browsers. This devotion also gives us opportunity to appreciate work of other people. We get inspired by useful, open source extensions made by developers all over the world. Our strong belief is that one should share helpful add-ons with others. That’s why we’d like to present you our ever-growing list of favourite extensions that have inspired us. Moreover, as you probably have already learned, sometimes struggling for the best brings an end to the good. Talking about add-ons it often turns out that an upgrade is worse then previous version. Also it can become really tricky to get back to the beloved version of your favourite extension. That’s why we’re going to make not only the latest, but all versions of our favourite (and we hope yours too) add-ons available for download. No more compromises, just stick to the version you really like!
